Diaper Bank Distribution in Cumberland County NC
Connecting veterans to their community.
According to the December 2016 Council of Economic Advisors Issue Brief*, studies have shown that almost one third of every low-income family struggles to afford diapers for their children. As a result, these families are forced to choose between clean diapers and other basic health necessities. Often, this results in parents trying to make a pack last as long as possible by extending the time in between changings, increasing the risk of health complications such as infections that lead to hospitalizations. 2-14 Connect wants to help relieve some of that stress from those in need in our community!
- Diapers are distributed by appointment only.
- Each eligible family will receive diapers once a month.
- Only sizes Newborn through 6 are currently available.
To be eligible, an adult in the household must be a veteran, currently serving, or on public assistance and demonstrate a financial need. Proof of residence, photo ID, birth certificate for each child receiving diapers, and proof of military service and/or public assistance will be required at initial appointment.
